Our Mission
At Proof of Purpose, our mission is to develop technology solutions which enable financial inclusion & promote economic empowerment. Central to this mission is our desire to drive transparency, efficiency & cost effectiveness in the products we build. For these reasons, we work primarily using blockchain technology and work collaboratively with local partners to ensure our software fits their context and needs.
In parallel to our own product development, Proof of Purpose serves as a virtual community hub to foster innovation, research and collaboration within the Blockchain for Good space.

Why blockchain technology
Blockchain technology is an exciting technology which, even in its relatively nascent stage, has opened the doors to transparency and open, global systems of transactions and proof of ownership and authenticity. Distributed, immutable, and near real-time, we look for opportunities to apply this technology where it will reduce costs, eliminate the constraints of traditional systems, and provide security and privacy whilst also allowing for the tiered sharing of information between relevant parties.
As with all technology we work with, we continuously test, monitor and evaluate its appropriateness in the contexts in which we work to build the best solutions for the people who use our products.
